to Burbank's newest world-class studio!
SSL 9000J Room
Glenwood is the place! Initially open with three studios, two tracking
and mixing studios one with an SSL 9000J, and the second
room with a Vintage Neve 8068 w/Flying Faders and the
third room suitable for stereo and 5.1 mixing with a Euphonix
System 5 . The facility also offers the latest ProTools HD
system.
Recently Glenwood
Place Studios announced the appointment of studio industry executive
Kit Rebhun to the position of Studio General Manager. The announcement
was made by Alan Kubicka, President of the studio.
In her new position,
Kit Rebhun will be instrumental in directing the daily planning
and booking of the world-class recording complex as well as oversee
the operations of the facility.

Commenting on
the appointment, Alan Kubicka stated, "We are so pleased that
Kit Rebhun has joined Glenwood Place as Studio Manager. Her exemplary
reputation in the recording community brings immediate credibility
and prestige to this new facility. Recording professionals in LA

Kit never would have joined us unless this facility was truly exceptional.
And it is!"

Prior to joining
Glenwood Place Studios, Rebhun was Studio Manager at NRG
Studios where she oversaw the installation of their third room and
brought in a stellar list of clients, which include Linkin' Park,
Korn and Papa Roach to name a few. She also held a key position
at Andora Studios as Studio Manager, responsible for bringing in
such clients as Tom Petty, Seal, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and kd
Lang.
Euphonix System 5
The Euphonix
System 5 comes with two Core system 96 channels of A to D w/72 Channels
of D to A. Ampex 102's, Panasonic SV-3800 DAT, HHB CDR-850 &
Tascam DA-98HR 24 bit DTRS 8 track machines are available for mixing.
The rooms also come with Studer A827 multi track, Radar II &
ProTools with 64 voice with Avid AV option XL video capture system.
This room can accommodate music and post mixes as well as overdubs
and ADR.

Melissa
Auf der Maur (x-member of groups Hole and Smashing Pumpkins) recorded
her solo debut at Glenwood Place Studios in Burbank, California
with Chris Goss co-producing the recording sessions and Auf der
Maur and Martin Schmelzle handled the engineering duties. Auf der
Maur invited Nick from Queens of the Stoneage, John Stanier of Helmet
and Paz from A Perfect Circle to join her and lay down a few tracks
at Glenwood Place. Schmelzle used the studio's Studer A827 to document
Auf der Maur's solo release tentatively titled "Auf der Maur."

Glenwood Place Studios is the historical site of what was previously
Kendun Recorders, Red Zone, Take One, Front Page and Audio X where
artists like Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker and Frank Zappa recorded.
The complete redesign by Carl Yancher of Wave
Space created a soon to be high-end 4-room facility to fulfill
Kubicka vision.
The Pool Room
The beautiful courtyard and lounges provide an escape for all clients
to enjoy! According to the designer, "To reinforce the Central
Courtyard, the interior client lounges open themselves out to exterior
spaces, allowing natural light to penetrate the existing buildings
and to create views to the outside from within."
The studio offers expert assistant engineers who come from other
world-class studios.
At the helm of maintenance is chief engineer, Mitch Berger who comes
from the Village Studios.
And for piece de resistance, the entire facility will have access
to a true acoustic echo chamber!
