Nestled in an idyllic wooded setting just thirty miles north of Chicago, Philharmonic Studios offer a comprehensive array of services to its discerning clientele. Studio owner Greg Miner brings twenty five years experience as a producer, recording artist and touring musician. He recently produced the late Tom Fuller’s Straight From the Heart album, playing many instruments as well as recording and mixing the release. "My approach is artist-centered, and combines a deep technical understanding with intuition and emotional insight. Every artist has a unique story to tell. My mission is to inspire you to your greatest achievements," says Miner. TEC Award-nominated Philharmonic Studios offers a comprehensive array of services with three rooms.. From recording and mixing across all genres, to scoring for film, gaming and television, our engineers possess a broad skill set and a passion for collaboration. "I visited Blackbird, Manifold Recording in North Carolina, and Skywalker Sound, and those three facilities were my key inspirations," says Miner.
Studio A houses a 4- Channel API 2448 all-discrete console, wth a spacious Live Room and three isolation booths. Here you can record solo instruments to chamber orchestras, from jazz ensembles to rock groups. It is also well suited to intimate concerts, video shoots, podcasts and event hosting. This allows us to tailor our live room as needed to simulate concert halls, churches and other reverberant spaces with remarkable realism," adds Miner. Cox Studio Systems and Stuckey Construction. This was originally a wooded area with trees that were over 200 years old. We took great pains to preserve as many of them as possible," says Miner.
