Michael Bradford

producer/mixer/re-mixer/engineer/programmer/writer/multi-instrumentalist/arranger

History: Originally from Motown, "Detroit" Mike Bradford has made very fast strides since coming to L.A. A quadruple-threat, Michael plays bass, guitar, drums and keyboards, and is an international re-mixer of songs for artists in the U.K., Japan and Malaysia.

Since the second half of 1999, Michael has been working with Kid Rock as his engineer-programmer. Building a unique "Rolling Studio" in the back lounge of a tour bus, they have been able to produce new music for a variety of projects, including Run-DMC and Tommy Lee's Methods of Mayhem.

In the field of engineering, Mike recently worked on the New Radicals album, "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too", demonstrating his skills with both analog tape and Pro Tools-style engineering, editing and treatments. Michael is a long-time pioneer in the use of ProTools in many unique applications and environments.
As a re-mixer and programmer, Michael has worked on tracks for fellow Detroiters Wayne Kramer (Epitaph) and Kid Rock (Lava), mainstream artists like Brownstone and Spice Girls, and underground artists like Mankind Liberation Front (RCA), Flak (Roadrunner) and Neneh Cherry (Virgin). Mike's knowledge of various musical styles comes from his diverse musical background as a musician and engineer for everyone from Anita Baker to New Radicals and the legendary reggae group, the Heptones.
In the film area, Michael has completed music with Terence Trent D'arby/Hans Zimmer and Paul Buckmaster, including work on "The Fan", "Most Wanted" and "Murder in Mind", using his abilities as a synthesist, sound designer and rhythm programmer to enhance traditional orchestration. His latest film projects include writing original music for "Mean Streak" (Paramount/Showtime) and the new Will Smith Picture, "Wild Wild West", featuring a song that he co-wrote and co-produced for Latin artist Valeria (Interscope).
