Michael J. Mani
Songwriter/producer
History: Michael J. Mani is a native product of
the Bay Area’s bustling music scene.
Mani spent much of his youth touring as a first-call keyboardist/musical
director for artists such as Clarence Clemons, Eric Martin and the
Go-Go’s. He soon began collaborating
with GRAMMY award winning record producers Walter Afanasieff and Narada Michael
Walden. This led to projects with
artists such as Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Lou Rawls, Tevin Cambell, Shanice
Wilson, Dianna Ross, Mica Paris, The New Kids on the Block and Steve Winwood.
In addition to
his lengthy list of album credits, Mani has also written and produced work for
countless television and radio commercials, including Taco Bell, Levi’s and
Pepsi Cola. Mani continues to work closely with San Francisco’s premiere ad
agencies, including Foote, Cone & Belding, Ackerman McQueen Inc., and
Disneyland/Casablanca Productions.
Mani has also
scored the music for the motion pictures Free Willy, Crooklyn and Street
Fighter
Current
Credits: Mani has since
formed his own production company, SoundWeb, and has written and produced music
for Regina Belle, M.C. Hammer, En Vogue and the group Guy.
Recently, Mani
completed five animated Hallmark films and was awarded a GRAMMY for his work on
Carlos Santana’s Supernatural album featuring Eric Clapton.
